POSITION SUMMARY: Directs and coordinates daily activities of pavement marking and prepares schedules and operations management for construction projects. Responsible for insuring all people under their supervision perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Supervises staff. Provides direction and support to staff as required.
  • Responsible for all inventory management including cycle counts
  • Makes sure trucks are equipped with hardware, tools and equipment according to standard checklist for particular tasks.
  • Loads and unloads trucks manually and with forklift.
  • Presents cost improvement ideas or suggestions in an ongoing basis.
  • Inspects trucks and equipment and brings necessary repairs to the attention of mechanics.
  • Requests inventory needs through the Operations Manager and maintains inventory levels monthly.
  • Assisting Operations Manager with asset management.
  • Identifies unsafe situations or practices and takes action to eliminate them including using Stop Work Authority.
  • Provides monthly updates on equipment or material that is no longer acceptable for use.
  • Maintains neat and organized work areas, i.e. sweeps floors, cleans shop, etc.
  • May assist in sign shop as needed.
  • Performs other work related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic carpentry skills with ability to use hand and power tools and operate warehouse equipment.
  • Must have valid driver's license to operate forklift
  • Certified forklift driver is preferred
  • Must have a good driving record; be able to pass a background check, and pre-employment drug test.
